Our Team
The Immigration Attorney Jossie Rivera Cruz
Our Founder, Jossie Rivera Cruz, is a native of Bayamón, Puerto Rico. From an early age, she showed an interest in justice and the social welfare of her community. Her passion for justice prompted her to study law at the University of Puerto Rico where she obtained her law degree in 2012.
In February 2013, she graduated from the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico. Since then, Jossie has been actively involved in defending immigrants, handling pro-bono cases, conducting immigration legal assistance clinics, representing clients in immigration court, handling petitions for relatives, as well as applications to acquire citizenship in North America.
In 2016, Jossie moved to the city of Charlotte, North Carolina, where she has successfully practiced her legal career for more than 6 years in the Cano Immigration law firm, Rivera Law, in which she served as a co-founding partner.
After years of working at the firm, Jossie decided to found her own company, Rivera Immigration Law, in order to continue helping the immigrant community in the United States.
Jossie Rivera Cruz is emerging as one of the most respected and successful lawyers in the region, with an impeccable record in defending the constitutional rights of immigrants.
Jossie stands out for her empathy towards the community and is recognized for providing legal advice to the neediest people. She’s also an active volunteer for several non-profit organizations such as the Immigrant Justice Program and the Berks Detention Center for Immigrant Families.
In addition to being a lawyer, Jossie has a degree in Modern Languages with a second concentration in Political Science, in which she speaks and understands multiple languages. This represents a huge competitive advantage when working with this successful legal professional.
